Father’s Day in the Building

To all the men who have done their best and continue to do the best that they can to raise their children, whether those children are biological or otherwise, Thank you!

Unfortunately, in the Hip Hop community, many of us grow up without a father. Many of us find a father figure through the music. This could be good or bad but, that artist is probably a complete stranger, and one whose aim may not be to teach positive masculinity or anything deep at all.

My point is, we all need a father so go and love yours. Be one if you’ve got kids. Put in the time, quality time. It’s never too late to start and it’s always worth the effort.

Happy Father’s Day! Everyday!

Peace.
